Oh, my.

Be proud of me. The Butter Biscuit has been sleeping in her crib, by herself, for about three weeks. (Of course, with the monitors in her room turned up high enough to hear a gnat fart, and I still get up to check on her three or four times a night… but it’s progress.)

Plus, as of Monday, she’s officially weaned — she went straight to the cup, and never touched a bottle once she was out of the NICU.

Now, I’m hittin’ the bottle. That’s right — Cranky Husband and I are sharing significant amounts of wine  this evening, for the first time since I discovered I was ka-nock-ed, back in January of ‘07.

I’ve discovered that I have no tolerance left.

Woooohoooooo for blogging tipsy!

(I should edit to add that if you’re one of the few who actually has my phone number, don’t call. I’m in a shameful condition, cursing inordinately and making indelicate comparisons/observations.)

  1. Windage is sleeping through the night at eight weeks. Been fussy as all get out the past week, though. Prefers being carried over the swing or chair. Figured out she is just bored, and we’re getting her out of the house for walks more. Still waiting to see when you want to have that Blogger Baby Playdate.

  2. Hope you don’t get ka-nock-ed up again!!

  3. Heh… that just makes me wish I had your number!

  4. Some time between 30 and 35 I noticed I’d become a much cheaper date. I dunno if it was metabolic or that the responsibility and schedule of a new job had forced me off the Pro Circuit, but whatever, it made my weekends a lot less expensive.

  5. He he he he he. I WILL call you.

  6. Hooray for drunken blog posting! I’ve done that before. Er, recently. More like my last post. Congrats for the weaning and getting schnockered!

  7. congrats on the weaning and sleeping! enjoy a glass of wine for me! my lil man is 8 months old so I have at least 4 months to go…

  8. Congrats and enjoy the wine!!!!

    Lord knows you deserve it.

  9. Yay, Cranky! Wine is a wonderful thing.

We still have monitors in my kids’ rooms. They are 4 and 6 years old. BUt I can be right there if one has a bad dream!
